Second pattern Garda capbadge, with the modernised spelling of the word “Siocana”, that is without the “t”. This particular badge has been chromed. The practice of silvering of chroming police badges was common from the times of the DMP onwards. More Info »

This is the second pattern cap badge worn from the late 1940′s onwards until the 70′s. The only difference between this and it’s predecessor (first pattern) is the word “Siocana” is now spelt without the “t” between the “o” and More Info »

This is a single three stripe chevron for the rank of Garda Sergeant. High quality manufacture comprising silver bullion wire stripes stitched onto a black woollen backing. Very good condition and quite old .About 12.5cms wide.

A lovely large Kings Crown metal button from an RIC officers unifrom. Marked “Special Quality” on reverse. Lovely condition.
