Connaught Rangers officer’s mess dress button. (2039)

These buttons were worn on the vest of the mess dress by an officer in the Connaught Rangers.  According to the Regimental History of the Connaught Rangers these buttons can date anywhere between 1848 -1922.  The example for sale here is in excellent condtition, gilt and is maker marked to reverse  “Jennens & Co. London”
