15 Year Service Medal, good condition. Awarded to members of the permanent forces.
First instituted in 1944 it was awarded for 10 years service, with the addition of a bar for a further five years of service. Obverse is a symbolic figure of Ireland placing a laurel wreath on the head of a kneeling soldier. The inscription reads “AN BONN SEIRBHISE” meaning for good service. Medal is un named, very good condition but with minor signs of service wear. This appears to be quite an early striking. Clllick on image for further pictures.
