A very nice sword in very good condition. This is a Masonic item, the sword blade being decorated with various Masonic symbols. The sword blade has an interesting inscription “BANK BUILDINGS BELFAST” Most likely Victorian in date, sword hilt and scabbard mounts are in blackened brass. Grip blackened wire. Black leather scabbard, good sturdy condition overall.
Sword length from pommel to tip of chape is 87cms. Blade 71cms. The blade has some tarnishing. Small crack on lower part of leather scabbard. A fine quality and interesting Belfast related sword. Shipping cost will be subsadised, purchaser pays only €4/€5 towards postage.
