A rare survivor circa 1917 period. This is a small paper badge attached to a pin. Obverse shows the faces of Patrick and Willie Pearse with a scroll underneath“PEARSE MEMORIAL FUND” The reverse says“SCOIL ÉANNA” Most likely these badges were produced for a fund raising event by Margaret Pearse after her sons death in order to help keep Saint Enda’s school open.
The pin which is sightly rusted is circa 3.5cms long. The paper badge measures about 3cms by 2.25cms. Guaranted original.
