Description
A beautiful Boer War era veteran’s lapel badge worn by a member of the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons.
This is a large oval shaped silver piece with a separately applied gilt, full length representation of a dismounted Inniskilling Dragoon.
The strap, which runs around the oval circumference, has the words:
“VETERAN – INNISKILLING – DRAGOON -VI”
The reverse of the badge has an elaborate clasp/fastener which is in excellent working order. This “butterfly” type clasp has the “Scales of Justice” stamped on either end of the fastener. Perhaps this is the manufacturer’s logo ?
The lapel badge is in very good condition. It measures approx 4cms from top to bottom.
