Description

This is an interesting item and a great addition to any Irish Defence Forces collector’s collection. It is a sealed pattern large Irish “IV” button.

This button was produced by an unknown company and supplied by the Irish Department of Post and Telegraphs for consideration by the authorities. The reverse of the button has five stars.

The button is tied to a string and sealed with a wax seal and the stamp of the Department of Posts & Telegraphs.

It dates from 1979.
