Description
Here we have a matching pair of medium sized buttons worn by an enlisted man in the Royal Irish Fusiliers. I’d imagine that these buttons are of Great War vintage. They have a lovely dark brown patina and interestingly they still both retain fragments of khaki uniform material where they were cut from a tunic.
These are medium sized buttons and would most likely have come from a tunic breast pockets. Great for display or for a restoration project.
