This commemorative journal was written mainly by Comdt. A. Swan of the Military College.
It is a comprehensive and well researched publication dealing with many historical aspects of the Curragh of Kildare and the Curragh Camp.
Within the publication, information covers a wide range of periods from antiquity, the Normans, 1600’s, 1798, the first permanent military camp during the Crimean War, the New Camp, the Curragh Mutiny, Rath Camp 1921, the Handover on 16th May 1922 etc.
This publication is well illustrated with drawings, plans and photographs.
This copy of An Cosantoir is in good used condition with no loose pages and over 30 pages of interesting materiel as well as advertisements from the 1970’s.
