Description

The Royal Irish Rangers was formed in 1968 from the amalgamation of the Inniskilling Fusiliers, Royal Ulster Rifles and The Royal Irish Fusiliers. This regular infantry regiment of the British Army had a relatively short existence. The Royal Irish Rangers merged with the Ulster Defence Regiment in 1992 to form the Royal Irish Regiment.

This highly desirable cross belt plate/ornament was worn on a brown leather belt. It is a highly decorative piece and is in superb condition. On reverse it has four sturdy lugs for securing onto a leather cross belt.

The badge measures 7.75cms high and 5.35 cms wide (approx).
