This is a bi metal (brass and white metal) cap badge worn by an enlisted man in the Royal Irish Fusiliers. It is a multi piece construction. The coronet and harp are both white metal and applied separately to the brass flaming grenade.

The reverse of this badge shows a very high standard of craftsmanship. The slider has a backing plate specially designed to securely fix the coronet to the main body of the badge. This is a very unusual feature and makes it a high quality piece.

The badge is in very good condition, with some service wear to the harp at front (due to polishing).

A very interesting badge !
