Early, Irish Guards Officers, epaulettes to a Captain and Lieutenant rank. (2007056)

Judging by their appearance, I’d imagine these two shoulder epaulettes are quite early. They would be ideal for display purposes. Good used condition.

The Captain’s epaulette comprises a black wool backing and 3 Irish Guards style regimental pips. The attractive pips are raised in silver bullion wire and green shamrock on a red backing. The edges are trimmed in silver bullion wire.

The next epaulette is similar to above but with one pip denoting a second lieutenant. This one has an Irish Guards button on it.

The silver bullion wire is now quite dulled. This could be brightened up with some very careful cleaning.
