Two early currently undated “I.V.” buttons. both buttons have the first pattern type broad harp.

Description

To date it is impossible to say whether these are Irish Volunteer or early Irish National army buttons.

They are large first pattern broad harp with 8 strings type. Each of the two buttons measure 25mms in diameter.

The buttons have a plain back plate with a circular depression at the centre where the loose shank is located.

These two buttons are of other ranks quality.
