Large sized tunic button worn by a member  of the Póiliní Átha Cliath. The Póiliní were predominently former members of the D.M.P. effectively being  re-badged in 1922. The P.A.C. served from 1922  until their emalgimation with the Civic Guards in 1925.  See description for more details.

This is a large sized button, measuring 26/27mms approx  in diameter.  The button is in very good condition and is maker marked on reverse: J. IRELAND & SON LTD. DUBLIN.
