A large brass button 26cms in diameter, maker marked to reverse. Very good condition.

Description

This button was once worn on the uniform of a soldier who served as an enlisted man in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. The button has a central King’s Crown (indicating that it is post 1902 era), this crown is on a flaming grenade. Around the circumference of this large sized dome shaped button are the words “ROYAL DUBLIN FUSILIERS”

The button is maker marked “E. Armfield & Co Ltd. Birmingham”

This is a great momento of a famous Irish Regiment that was disbanded in 1922.
