Royal Dublin Fusiliers, fantastic gold and silver bullion collar badge – pre 1914 era. (2003024)

From the collar of the number 1 Dress uniform of an officer in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. This is a rare survivor from the Victorian era, such wire bullion pieces are exceptionally hard to find and when one does, invariably the condition is not great.

This is a 6.cms long, gold wire bullion badge with ball and flaming grenade shaped regimental ornament. On the top of the ball is a silver Lion and Elephant, the regimental symbols of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.

The badge overall is in very good condition with some relatively minor loss to colour on the high points of the gold wire.

The reverse of the badge has its original brown paper backing.

This would make a great addition to any Irish Regimental collection.
