Royal Irish Constabulary, a matched pair of original collar badges. (2008069)

These are King’s Crown collar badges from circa 1902 – 1922. A lovely pair and from the same tunic. See description for more details and some pictures of the collars.

While it is difficult to state precisely whether collar badges of this type were Royal Irish Constabulary or early R.U.C issue, I’d be fairly confident that they are the former, not the latter.

I have an identical pair in my own collection that are attributable to a known R.I.C man. The red backing cloth in particular is a good indicator.

This pair comes with their original red backings and both badges are in very good condition.

The badges are die struck from blackened white metal.
