Description

This is a particularly fine and interesting brass, other ranks cap badge worn by a soldier serving in the Royal Irish Regiment. The badge is 100% original with properly voided strings to the harp and correct gap (void) between the top of the harp and base of the King’s crown.

It has a good strong and long slider on the back and the slider has the classic re-enforcing ring on reserve. This ring strengthens the bond between the harp and crown. To date this type of ring has only been noted on original badges.

The badge is die struck in brass and shows light service wear on the obverse.
