If you wish to make a purchase from our website (IHS), please read below as we will require some personal information from you to process your order.

Data Limitation: IHS (the “Data Controller”) does not subscribe to the unethical or unnecessary gathering of our customers’/users personal data. IHS will only gather the basic necessary data from our customers/users for the specific purpose it is intended.  In other words, we shall only gather the data necessary to process and ship an order placed on our website by a customer.  This data required will be limited to:

We will use this information to process your order. In the unlikely event of there being an issue with our order or if any clarifications are needed we may have to contact you. If we fail to reach you via email, we will endeavour to contact you by the telephone number provided by the intended purchaser.

Purpose Limitation and Record Retention Schedule:  IHS will only retain the “personal data” of the user for the time necessary to process the order and for the time thereafter should any issues such as loss of the product(s) while in transit via the postal service.   Within one month from date of postage of the item(s), customer data will be permanently deleted from the website IRISH HISTOEICAL MILITARIA.  Thereafter only postal tracking records (tracking number(s)) will be retained along with basic item descriptions and prices obtained (The latter being necessary for annual Revenue Tax Returns).

Postal details: Irish Historical Militaria does not provide your personal date to any third parties with the exception of “An Post” which is the default Irish postal service provider we routinely use to dispatch our products to you. Should an alternative postal service provider be necessary we will first discuss this matter with the purchaser

Financial Details: The only online financial transactions processed in the purchase of goods from IHS will be through the purchaser’s personal PayPal account. Your data retention will be in line with PayPal Privacy Policy. The latter is a reputable third-party financial organisation that has strict obligations to keep your personal and financial information private.
