Large, brass, loose shank type button, in great condition and maker marked to reverse. The 102nd Regiment amalgamated with the 103rd and subsequently became the Royal Dublin Fusiliers in 1881.

This button dates between 1862 and 1881. It has a Victorian crown and is maker marked on reverse “Smith & Wright Birmingham”

102nd Madras Fusiliers brass button v. good condition with minimum service wear. The 102nd amalgamated with the 103rd in 1881 and the 102nd became the 1st Battalion of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, while the 103rd became the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.

The button measures about 26mms in diameter. Condition is very good. View images for more details.
