This medal was awarded to volunteers in the Irish Red Cross who specialized in the delivery of First Aid during the Emergency period in Ireland (1939-46).

The medal reverse has the Gaelic inscription – Ranna Cabhair Dheontachta Cumann Croise Deirge na hÉireann (Irish Red Cross Society, First Aid Division).

The medal, with its original ribbon and suspension bar/pin is in excellent condition with slight toning to the medal disk.
